FAQs

Another happy MYFC team!

On joining, do I need to buy a kit?

When you join, MYFC provides a playing shirt, shorts, and socks. You can purchase other Club-branded items at our Club Shop.

What does my child wear to train?

Unless your team manager makes other arrangements, players can wear any football kit (including match kit) for training. However, only the club kit can be worn for matches.

What extras do I need to bring?

Whether training or a match, always bring:

- Boots and shin pads

- A drink

- Appropriate clothing (e.g. coat, hat, gloves, sun hat/sun cream).

- Appropriate medical requirements

What is the minimum age to join?

Boys/Mixed: Our youngest age group is U5 (School Year 'R'), so turning 5 before 31st July the following year.

Girls: The youngest girls-only MYFC Angels age group is U8, so turning 8 before 31st July the following year.

Note: Girls younger than U8 are encouraged to play in the Boys/Mixed team from U5 (Year 'R') (as above).

Can I leave my child with you?

Team managers and coaches cannot accept parental responsibility while leading Club activities. Players should not be left unaccompanied by a parent or other known responsible adult without the agreement of the team manager or a coach (which may not be given). If a player is to be collected by someone other than his/her parent or guardian, the team manager or a coach must be informed beforehand.

When does my child train?

We publish our full training schedule here, and our numerous matchday locations are shown here,
